Appointed by the Government of India, as Valuer for Gold and Jewellery.
Has been Convenor for the Product Development Centre (JPDC) and is also on the Research and Development Committee of the G.J.E.P.C.
Has been Convenor, co-convener and member of the Exhibition Committee of the G.J.E.P.C. (the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council)

In the field of Platinum jewellery, Mr. Wadia has a very long experience of the processes involved. He was twice invited by the Platinum Guild to exhibit at their exhibitions in Tokyo and Osaka, one of only eight international jewellers. The PGI - Japan has featured Mr. Wadia and his work in their publications, as well as in the Japanese trade press.

Over and above his role as a consultant offering a gamut of advisory and implementation services to clients, Mr. Nariman H. Wadia is also engaged in research related to the environmental aspects of the gem and jewellery industry. The inspiration for this non-commercial enquiry and research is provided by the long and intimate association that he has had with this industry.
Cadmium poisoning, nickel allergies and the harmful effects of carbon bearing smoke which accrues from pipes, oil lamps or burning wax have been the topics for this research. He has also invited contributions from doctors to augment his study.
